What is Food Analyst Board?
Food analyst board is a board of members at different levels which are selected following the terms of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, to assess individuals who are suitable and qualified to occupy the position of Food Analyst.
How to become a food analyst board member?
After passing the Food Analyst Examination, the FSSAI's Food Analyst Board recognises candidates as Food Analysts and issues certificates. Under the requirements of the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006, the Board's Terms of Reference are to assess individuals who are suitable and competent to occupy the position of food analyst.
Different posts in the food analyst board are as follows:
i. Chairman - Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India
ii. Member- Executive Director (HR), Food Safety and Standards Authority of India
iii. Member- Advisor (Science & Standards), Food Safety and Standards Authority of India
iv. Member- Advisor (Quality Assurance), Food Safety and Standards Authority of India Secretary
v. Member- Chief Technology Officer, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India
vi. Member- Director, National Food Laboratory, Ghaziabad
vii. Member- Dean, Post Graduate Studies, National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Kundli
viii. Member- Chief Scientist and Head, FSAQCL (Director RFL) – Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru
ix. Member- Associate Dean and Principal, College of Food Technology, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani, Maharashtra.
